Earlier this week icons in both Toronto, Ontario and in Austin, Texas passed away. Our "just a shopkeeper" Ed Mirvish crossed over just a few days prior to his 93rd birthday. And in Texas, Lady Bird Johnson -- former First Lady and the founder for the beautification of American Highways.
I caught an interview with the former First Lady by CBS in 1997 on her influence on having wildflowers planted along the highways to add colour and interest for those who journey along the interstates. Such a wonderful woman.
